Rodger Kamenetz is the author of The History of Last Night's Dream (Harper One, 2007) which Oprah Winfrey "loved," adding, "What’s so exciting about this book is that it talks about how there’s a whole other life that we are living when we sleep, and that our dreams are there as offerings and gifts to us if we only recognize what the dreams are there to teach us, what they’re there to tell us about our waking lives." He is the founder of Natural Dreamwork, an approach that treats every dream as having the potential of a sacred encounter that can heal. Natural Dreamwork builds on the dreamer's actual experience of space, time, and feeling in the dream. He has been working with dreamers one on one since 2003.

Rodger is well-known as the author of the international best-seller, The Jew in the Lotus, an account of a delegation of rabbis who pilgrimage to meet with the Dalai Lama in Buddhist India. He won the National Jewish Book Award for Stalking Elijah: Adventures With Today's Jewish Mystical Masters. Burnt Books, his dual biography of Franz Kafka and Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav, was featured in Schocken's Jewish Encounters Series. He is an awarding-winning poet and a literary essayist whose work is widely anthologized. A Professor Emeritus at Louisiana State University, where he held the Sternberg Honors Chair, he lives and works in his beloved New Orleans where he sees clients seeking spiritual growth through dreams. He currently teaches spiritual writing in the Kenyon Review Summer Workshops, and is on faculty at the C.G. Jung Center in Evanston, Illinois.
